Do I need an account?

No account is required. The generator runs in your browser and the site is fully static. You can save compliments locally without creating a profile.

This keeps the experience simple and reduces friction. You get value immediately.

How do I make a compliment feel authentic?

Start with what you actually observed. Add a specific detail and mention the impact. Authenticity comes from real moments, not fancy language.

If a compliment feels too formal, simplify it. Use words you would normally say out loud.

Can I use these compliments at work?

Yes. Many categories are designed for professional settings. Keep the tone respectful and avoid personal comments that could feel inappropriate.

Use the tips in each category to match the level of formality your team expects.

How many compliments should I give?

There is no perfect number. A small daily habit is more effective than occasional bursts. Aim for one meaningful compliment per day or a few per week.

Consistency builds trust and creates a culture of recognition.

Does the site track me?

We do not track personal behavior. The site uses minimal local storage only for saving your favorite compliments. No accounts and no external analytics.

You can clear saved compliments anytime by clearing local storage in your browser.

Can I suggest a new category?

Yes. We welcome ideas for new categories and examples. Let us know what situations you want help with, and we can expand the library.

The goal is to serve real needs with practical language.

  • Tell us the context you want to cover
  • Share a few sample compliments you like
  • Describe the tone you want to match

How do saved compliments work?

When you save a compliment, the site stores it in your browser using local storage. This keeps your favorites on your device only.

Saved compliments are visible in the generator card so you can reuse them without searching.

Can I use the site on mobile?

Yes. The layout is responsive and designed to work on phones and tablets. The generator buttons and lists are optimized for touch.

If you use the site on multiple devices, saved compliments stay on each device separately because they are stored locally.

Do you offer more languages?

We currently provide English, Espanol, and Francais homepages, with the full category library in English. We plan to add more languages over time.

You can still use the English categories as inspiration and translate the ideas into your own words.

How do I clear my saved list?

You can clear saved compliments by removing local storage for this site in your browser settings. This removes saved items and resets the list.

If you only want to remove one item, save a new set and the list will refresh with the most recent entries.

Are compliments the same as feedback?

Compliments are recognition, while feedback is guidance for improvement. They work best when separated so each message is clear.

If you have both praise and critique, give the compliment first, then schedule feedback as its own conversation.

What if someone rejects a compliment?

Some people deflect praise because it feels unfamiliar. If that happens, keep it simple and do not argue. A calm thank you is enough.

Over time, consistent, specific compliments feel safer and are easier to receive.

How do I choose the right category?

Pick the category that matches the context, not just the person. For example, use leadership for a manager who removed blockers or healthcare for a nurse who explained a plan.

If you are unsure, start with the general generator and then browse a related category for more tailored language.

Can I use the generator offline?

The site is static and lightweight. If you open it in a browser and keep the tab, it will continue to work without a network connection.

For the best experience, use it online so you can access all pages and links.
